Jolie’s Evelyn Salt is made of sterner stuff, the kind that can survive a North Korean prison without giving up the name of her employer, the CIA. Back in D.C. and married to a nice though naive German arachnologist (August Diehl) — yes, he studies spiders and, yes, there is a payoff to that — she is assigned to CIA desk duties when a supposed Russian defector (Daniel Olbrychski) walks in one day.

Nobody is particularly buying his act, especially Salt’s superior, Ted Winter (Liev Schreiber), but she accedes to his plea to interrogate the man briefly before she heads home to an anniversary dinner. The Russian talks nonsense about sleeper cells and a plot to assassinate the Russian president on American soil.

Then he happens to drop the name of the Russian sleeper spy: Evelyn Salt. This apparently is enough to turn the agency’s counterintelligence officer, Peabody (Chiwetel Ejiofor), into her instant foe. Nothing that happens after this deserves any serious scrutiny, but it’s fun to watch Jolie’s Salt seemingly transform into the Russian sleeper agent she is reputed to be — escaping from a virtual lockdown, dodging cars and bullets, making her way to New York and through subway tunnels to confront the Russian president, then take on, seemingly, every Russian and CIA op in her way.

The day all football fans have been dreading is here, the day after the World Cup Final. Now we have to wait another 4 years until the next World Cup that is going to be held in 2014 in Brazil.

Spain rules the soccer world, winning the World Cup 2010 at long, long last.

It came after an exhausting 1-0 victory in extra time over the Netherlands on Sunday. After winning the European title in 2008, two years on and now they’ve been crowned the best team in the World.

This was a physical test of attrition that sometimes turned dirty – a finals-record 14 yellow cards were handed out and the Dutch finished with 10 men. In the end, it was Andres Iniesta breaking free in the penalty area, taking a pass from Cesc Fabregas and putting a right-footed shot from 8 yards just past the outstretched arms of goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg with about seven minutes still to play, including injury time.

The goal in the 116th minute came off a turnover by the Dutch defense that Fabregas controlled just outside the penalty area. Iniesta stayed on the right and sneaked in to grab the pass and put his shot to the far post. Stekelenburg barely brushed it with his fingertips as it soared into the net.

Iniesta tore off his jersey after the goal and raced to the corner where he was mobbed by his teammates. Several Dutch players wiped away tears as they received their medals as runners-up – yet again. They won every qualifying match and all six previous games in South Africa before the bitter ending.

The Netherlands now has more victories in World Cup games without a title than any nation: 19. Spain held that dubious record with 24.

Goalkeeper Iker Casillas, the captain, accepted the trophy from FIFA president Sepp Blatter, kissed it and raised it for all to see while cameras flashed and confetti flew throughout the still-full stadium.

Soon, the entire team and staff gathered at midfield for a group photo. The players bounced up and down to the World Cup theme song, then took a victory lap as the trophy was passed to each member of the squad.

Second-ranked Spain started this World Cup in the worst way, losing to Switzerland. But Spain won every game after that, including a 1-0 victory over powerful Germany that was far more one-sided than the score indicated. No other nation has won the World Cup after losing its opener.

Yet the most dangerous player Sunday was Netherlands forward Arjen Robben. He had a rare breakaway in the 62nd minute after a brilliant through pass from Wesley Sneijder. He had the ball on his preferred left foot, but a charging Casillas barely got his right leg on the shot to deflect it wide of the gaping net.

Then it was Stekelenburg’s turn, holding his ground after a misplay in front of the net gave the ever-potent Villa an open shot.

As play opened up, the crowd of 84,490 got quieter in nervous anticipation of the goal that would win the World Cup.

Robben again looked as though he might get it with a burst of speed past the defense, but Casillas sprinted from his net and smothered the ball before Robben could take a shot.

A second straight World Cup final headed into extra time, with the goalkeepers unbeatable. Stekelenburg, relatively inexperienced on the international level, made a spectacular left leg save when Fabregas broke free early in overtime.

Before the game, former South African president Nelson Mandela received a huge ovation when he was driven onto the field on a golf cart. A smiling Mandela waved to the fans as the vuvuzelas buzzed throughout Soccer City.

After South Africa’s victory was announced, Nelson Mandela hoisted the World Cup trophy and Archbishop Desmond Tutu embraced Blatter. “I feel like a young man of 15,” said Mandela, who was 85 at the time.

A total of 200 teams entered the race for one of the 31 places at the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa. (The host nation, South Africa, is automatically in the final, number 32). The final draw was held in Cape Town on 4 December 2009.

The 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa will be staged at 10 venues across nine South African cities: Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Port Elizabeth, Nelspruit, Polokwane, Bloemfontein, Rustenburg, and Pretoria. Johannesburg, South Africa’s economic capital is home to two World Cup stadiums, Soccer City and Ellis Park.

Five of South Africa’s football stadiums have undergone major renovations for the 2010 FIFA World Cup: Soccer City and Ellis Park in Johannesburg, Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria, the Royal Bafokeng stadium in Rustenburg in North West Province and Vodacom Park in Bloemfontein in the Free State.

The ninth season of American Idol came to a sensational conclusion as Lee Dewyze was crowned the winner of American Idol 2010 during two hours live season finale on Wednesday as Crystal Bowersox becomes the runner-up. His victory was based on votes cast after Tuesday’s performances

The former American Idol winner, Kelly Clarkson, Ruben Studdard, Fantasia, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Hicks, Jordin Sparks, and Kris Allen performed “Together we are one” as part of a special tribute to Simon Cowell.

The evening was highlighted with performances by the Top 12 finalists and special musical guests. Lee took the stage with Chicago to sing “Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?” and “If You Leave Me Now”; and Crystal Bowersox rocked the house with Alanis Morissette on “Ironic” and “You Oughta Know.”

Casey James performed “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” with Bret Michaels, and Michael Lynche sang “Takin’ It To The Streets” with Michael McDonald. Aaron Kelly and Siobhan Magnus joined the Bee Gees for “How Deep Is Your Love,” and the Top 12 finalists performed a medley of “Again,” “Nothing” and “Nasty” with Janet Jackson. To cap off the night, Lee and Crystal joined Joe Cocker on “With A Little Help From My Friends.”

After about six years of thrilling and exciting twist and turn of the story, The famous and the most celebrated series in TV history, ‘Lost’, finally ended. The ending brought the viewers in tears because of the bittersweet ending.

Jack died at the end of Lost. Even though the viewers see every twist and turn in the characters story has resolve, some notice that there were no plot resolution and many things in the story did not go well in the ending.

The ending left so many unanswered question such as What was the deal with Jacob’s cabin? What is the island anyway? How was Hurley able to see dead people? Who built the island if it was built?

Diego Milito strikes twice to seal Inter Milan victory 2-0 againts Bayern Munich and ended a 45 years wait to be crowned kings of Europe in the Champions League final at the Santiago Bernabeu in Madrid.

Milito struck in the 34th and 70th minutes as Inter became the first Italian team to win the treble of league, cup and European Cup in the same season, whilst ending German double-winners Bayern’s hopes of doing likewise.

This is the third time for Inter Milan to won trophy, following their success back in 1964 and 1965, and could also have marked a winning farewell for coach Jose Mourinho.

Real Madrid was rumored to want Mourinho on its bench. Mourinho, who also won the Champions League with Porto in 2004, seemed to agree that Madrid would probably be his next home.

The match was billed as a clash of contrasting styles between the attacking philosophy of Van Gaal and the defensive proclivity of Mourinho. Despite a big advantage in ball possession, Bayern never managed to pierce Inter’s defensive wall, marshaled by its two South American central defenders, the Brazilian Lúcio and the Argentine Walter Samuel.

As Bayern tried to push forward, it left itself exposed to lethal counter-attacks, spearheaded by Inter’s Argentine forward Diego Milito, who scored both goals.

The story began when a boy called Dastan from the street who gets adopted into the royal family after showing courage saving a young boy in a city square. Fifteen years later, we get to see young Dastan (Gyllenhaal) all grown up, fighting for Persia alongside his brothers Garsiv (Toby Kebbell), Tus (Richard Coyle) and uncle Nizam (Sir Ben Kingsley).

They head for a Holy City known as Alamut which is rumoured to be the source of weaponry that would be used to attack Persia. Rather than waiting for an imminent attack, The Persians decide to strike the first blow.

There is a myth that in Alamut lies a princess who is the most beautiful in the world, princess Tamina (Gemma Arterton) who is also the spiritual leader of the City, and holds the most important job in existence, the protector of the the Sands of Time which are hidden within a dagger. During the persians assault on the city defences, Dastan unwittingly acquires a mythical dagger – a powerful gift from the Gods which allows the holder to reverse the flow of time.

Prince Dastan is then framed for the murder of his beloved father and forced to flee for his life with princess Tamina. Spurred on by their nefarious uncle Nizam , Tus and jealous sibling Garsiv vow to slay Dastan in revenge for their father’s murder. They encounter ostrich racing supremo Amar (Alfred Molina) and realise that the only way to unmask the real killer is to manipulate the dagger and turn back time.

This year all labanese worldwide should be pround because Rima Fakih, who is of Lebanese Muslim descent beat out 50 other contestant and has been crowned Miss USA 2010 Sunday night, replacing the 2009 winner Kristen Dalton. Rima Fakih from Dearborn, Michigan which is home for large Arab-American community.

The pageant took place at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. The 51 contestants were quickly narrowed down to 15 and then to five. The lucky women chosen to compete in the final five included Miss Michigan, Miss Virginia, Miss Maine, Miss Colorado and Miss Oklahoma.The first runner up was Miss Oklahoma Morgan Elizabeth Woolard, Miss Virginia USA Samantha Evelyn Casey was the second runner-up, Miss Colorado USA Jessica Hartman was third runner-up, and Miss Maine USA Katherine Ashley Whittier was the fourth runner-up.

Miss Nebraska Belinda Renee Wright has been given the Miss Congeniality award, roughly one week after her father was killed in a farm accident. Miss Alabama USA Audrey Moore won Miss Photogenic after an online fan vote.

Robin Hood is a story about the life of an highly-skilled archer, previously interested only in self—preservation, returning to England after 10 years of fighting in the Crusades against the French. Robin then travels to Nottingham to return a sword belongs to recently murdered friend of the king’s, Sir Robert Loxley that has an intriguing inscription on it to Sir Robert’s father, The town suffering from the corruption of a despotic sheriff and crippling taxation, where he falls for the spirited widow Lady Marion, a woman skeptical of the identity and motivations of this crusader from the forest.

Hoping to earn the hand of Maid Marion and salvage the village, Robin assembles a gang whose lethal mercenary skills are matched only by its appetite for life. Together, they begin preying on the indulgent upper class to correct injustices under the sheriff. All of this could potentially leads to a civil war when at the same time French decides to invade England.

It’s down to American Idol final four and who got voted off on American Idol May 12, 2010 ?. After a nationwide vote, the results are in, and Michael “Big Mike” Lynche was voted off. With Jaime Fox as the mentor, the top 4 finalist were performed Wednesday night with a theme from songs from the movies. After their performance live, the question who got voted off this week came up.

Bon Jovi, Daughtry, and Fantasia performed as guest performers and kept us from the suspense of who got eliminated. Despite of his performance Cassey was first told that he was safe followed by Lee and Crystal leaving Big Mike packing. He closed out by singing “Will You Be There”.
